Why does it take 3 weeks to have my guest book made and delivered? Anonymous
A:
Good question! Once I receive an order for a made to order guest book, I have to wait for sample paper, a photo, further requirements or a sample invitation to arrive before I can start constructing the guest book. Once I have all the information I need to meet your requirements, I will do my best to make a unique design to match your theme or invitation. Then we need some drying and settling time before I am comfortable to post the product. I have allowed 3 weeks for this process so not to disappoint any of my valued customers.

Why did my order take 6 days to arrive? Maddie
A:
First it depends when I received payment for the order. If I received your payment on a Friday or on a weekend, I will ship the product on the next available day, which is a Monday so therefore it will take 4-5 days including the weekend to arrive. However if you purchased on a Monday and I received the payment on the Monday or Tuesday, I was able to then post it on the Monday or Tuesday therefore you would have received it shortly after your payment had been completed 1- 3 days. Also Australia Post may have taken longer to deliver in your area, if outside a metro area. I Hope this helped answer this very important question. I have since further looked into your order and see that it was placed on a Friday, so therefore the delay in arriving. To make up for this issue in slow delivery I would like to offer you a free delivery for your next purchase and have mailed a voucher out to you on how to take up this offer. Is it true that books move with the weather, I mean like bend etc. I heard that somewhere and what does that mean for the quality of the product? Hannah
A:
Yes you heard right, all books hold moisture and will expand and contract with the seasons and weather. If on a rainy day you go to your bookshelf, flick through any novel you will notice that there are waves in the pages, cause of the wet weather the pages retain the moisture, similar with hot weather they will stretch. This does not diminish the quality in any way and the products shouldn’t move to much unless left outside in the midday sun/heat or rain, the books will expand and bend out but settle as soon as they come into room temperature just like plastic. These are beautiful handmade products, I wouldn’t recommend exposing them to harsh environments like midday sun and damp environments and weather, if you wish to treasure the words you have written on the pages.

I was wondering if all your products are completely hand made from scratch?

Hi Michelle,
yes all our beautiful journals, guest books, note books, heart shape keepsakes are all made by hand personally by me. I start by cutting the cardboard to size, preparing it ready to be glued. I then cut all paper and book cloth to size of the product I am making and glue it together. The insert has been pre-cut and stitched also by hand at an early stage and is now placed inside the covers during the gluing process. These products are truly a beautiful one of a kind gift each one unique and individual as the person who will receive it.

Are all the albums acid free and how do I insert the photo’s into the album?

Hi,
All the materials used to make the books are all acid free. From the glue to the paper. You can purchase Photo tabs at any photo shop, they come in two types. 1st - corner tabs, where they hold the photo by the corner (you can see the tab on the corner of each photo). 2nd - double sided sticky tabs that you place behind the photo on each corner (you cannot see the tape as it is on the back of the photo, but then you are unable to swap and change the photo at will, like the corner ones enable you to do).
For a limited time if you purchase an album 40 tabs are included to get you started.
